The Industrial Design Style

Vintage Industrial Kitchen Design Hampshire

The industrial design style is extremely contemporary and differs from any other design aesthetic out there today. It’s all based around working with materials that ordinarily would be hidden or not necessarily a focal point in a space. Exposed brick, stainless steel surfaces and emphasis on wood make up some of the design characteristics. The look is almost a little unfinished but that’s what makes it so unique. It’s a style that is becoming popular in shops and restaurants: showcasing a really casual and stripped back layout.

Here at Anthony Edwards Kitchens, we recently completed our first vintage industrial kitchen design. The 3D render above, created with the programme ArtiCAD, shows our final design for the kitchen we installed. Wood stands out as a dominant feature to compliment the concrete worktop and grey tones. The exposed brick also adds a quirky element to the design.

Although it’s a unique look, elements of the industrial design style can be applied to many kitchens. Whether you want to add a metal surface, vintage pieces or some rustic furniture: it can make such a statement in the kitchen or any room in the house.
