(makes about 28 biscotti)
145 grams blanched whole almonds toasted and chopped
1 teaspoon baking powder
a good pinch of salt
250 grams plain flour
150 grams granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract

The top is a preparation area which doubles as a breakfast bar and in this square kitchen, it needed soft curved edges. But what material was it to be?. The main worktops are Corian; we did not feel granite was right; and glass wasn’t cosy enough.
